In many ways, every school that participated is a winner. The safety practices students learned during the video challenge could help themselves and those around them avoid potentially dangerous situations around electrical equipment. Our goal with this video challenge is to encourage electric safety education and teach children to be aware of potential hazards surrounding electricity while also giving back to the communities that BGE supports.

Since the launch of this contest, BGE has provided $174,500 to 45 elementary schools to use for enrichment projects for their winning videos. To learn more about the BGE Wires Down Video Challenge and to view the winning videos, please visit BGEvideochallenge.com.
